     IS ALSO KNOWN AS SENSITIVITY TRAINING AND LABORATORY TRAINING OR ENCOUNTER GROUP
     IT IS TRAINING APPROACH BASED ON EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING AND INVOLVING SMALL UNSTRUCTURED GROUPS IN WHICH PARTICIPANTS LEARN FROM THEIR OWN INTERACTIONS AND EVOLVING GROUP DYNAMICS,ABOUT INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIP,GROUP DYNAMICS AND LEADERSHIP.
     IS A FORM OF TRAINING WITH THE GOAL OF MAKING PEOPLE MORE AWARE OF THEIR OWN GOALS AS WELL AS THEIR PREJUDICE AND MORE SENSITIVE TO OTHERS AND TO THE DYNAMICS OF GROUP INTERACTION

Ø  DEFINITION OF SENSTIVITY TRAINING
     SENSITIVITY TRAINING REFERS TO THE UNORGANIZED MEETING HELD BETWEEN THE GROUP MEMBERS,GENERALLY FEWER IN NUMBER ,AWAY FROM THE WORKPLACE TO GAIN THE INSIGHT OF THEIR OWN AS WELL OTHER BEHAVIOUR.
     PUTTING ONESLF IN THE OTHER MEMBER’S SHOES AND BEHAVING IN A GIVEN SITUATION FROM HIS POINT OF VIEW. IT IS THE MENTAL ABILITY THAT AN INDIVIDUAL POSSESS AND MAKE HIM TO UNDERSTAND THE EMOTIONS OF OTHERS AND AT THE SAME TIME MANAGING ONE’S OWN BEHAVIOR AND IMPLUSES.IN A MEETING THERE IS PASSIVE LEADER WHO TRIES TO MAINTAIN A SAFE PSYCHOLOGICAL ATMOSPHERE WHERE EACH MEMBER FEELS FREE TO SHARE  WHATEVER THERE IS IN MIND.
     THE PURPOSE OF THE T GROUP IS TO ENABLE EACH MEMBER TO KNOW WHAT IS HIS BEHAVIOR AND HOW OTHER PERCEIVE HIM
Ø  ESSENTIAL STEPS FOR SENSTIVITY TRAINING PROGRAM
1.       UNFREEZING THE OLD VALUES:-THE GROUP MEMBERS SHOULD KEEP THEIR OLD BELIEFS OR PERCEPTIONS ABOUT THE OTHER MEMBERS ASIDE AND MOTIVATE THEM TO SPEAK FREE. CHANCES OF DEVELOPING NEW RELATIONSHIPS
2.       DEVELOPMENT OF NEW VALUE:-MEMBERS START DEVELOPING THE VALUES OF BELIEF ABOUT EACH OTHER.
3.       REFREEZING OF NEW VALUES:-THE BELIEF FORMED THROUGH THE INTERACTION WITH EACH OTHER GROUP ARE PUT INTO PRACTICE


     MERITS
1.       LEAD BETTER UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN MEMBERS OF THE ORGANIZATION
2.       IT HELPS EMPLOYEES BE SENSITIVE TO THE EXISTING DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE
